Soft Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

  1. Cream shortening and sugar.
  2. Beat in Large eggs and applesauce.
  3. Sift dry ingredients and add in to creamed mix.
  4. Stir in the oatmeal.
  5. Stir in raisins and nuts, drop onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 12 min.
  6. Store in airtight container in the refrigerator.
  7. Keeps well for several weeks.
  8. Use waxpaper between layers.
