Steve's Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

  1. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Line sheet pan/cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Use electric mixer (dough hook), mix dry ingredients including peanut butter on low speed.
  4. Add the lightly beaten egg and 1 cup water and mix until it forms a slightly sticky ball.
  5. Dump the dough onto a well-floured board and knead into a ball.
  6. Roll the dough out 1/2 inch thick.
  7. Cut the dough into small squares with a pizza cutter.
  8. Or use a cookie cutter.
  9. That's more work and the dog won't care about the treat's shape.
  10. Treats from cookie cutters make nice family gifts, however.
  11. Optional: Brush dough with egg wash and sprinkle oatmeal.
  12. Bake in 325 degree oven for 60 minutes until completely hard.
  13. Cool, then break up the cooked sheet into squares.
