Pan Seared Peppered Salmon
- 1 (2 lb) whole salmon fillets
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt, and pepper mix or 1 tablespoon steak seasoning
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin coconut oil (EVCO) or 1 tablespoon butter
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cut the salmon into 4 smaller filets.
- Dust with your salt/pepper mixture.
- Over medium/high heat, melt the EVCO or butter.
- Lay the seasoned filets face-down in the frying pan.
- Cook them over medium/high heat for ~4 minutes.
- Flip the filets then immediately transfer them to the oven.
- Bake 4-5 minutes for a more rare finish or 6-7 minutes for well done.
