Soft Gingerbread Cookies Recipe
- 1/2 c. softened butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/8 c. molasses
- 3/8 c. sour lowfat milk
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Cream together butter, brown sugar, egg, molasses and sour lowfat milk.
- Sift together flour, soda, ginger and salt.
- Add in to batter and mix well (makes a very soft batter).
- Refrigeratefor 1 hour.
- Roll 1/4" thick (only remove a little of batter from refrigerator, must be hard to be able to work with).
- Cut out with cutter and bake at 350 degrees till done.
- Will be soft.
- Frost when cold.
