Caramel Cereal Crisps

  1. In a large heavy pan melt butter and add corn syrup over low heat.
  2. Add sugar, water and salt.
  3. Cook until mixture comes to a full boil, stirring occasionally.
  4. Boil 3 minutes or to a firm ball stage.
  5. While still over low heat add all of the cereal; stir until evenly coated.
  6. Spread mixture in a buttered 9x13-inch pan.
  7. If needed slip a sandwich bag over your hand and finish spreading.
  8. Cut in pieces right away.
  9. When cool, remove from pan.
