Apple-Oatmeal Cookies

  1. In saucepan, combine fruits, nuts, granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons water.
  2. Cook and stir until thick and apple is tender, about 10 minutes.
  3. Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs.
  4. Sift together dry ingredients; add alternately with milk to creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in oats.
  6. Reserve 3/4 cup dough. Drop remainder from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet; make depression in center and top with apple filling.
  7. Top off with reserved dough.
  8. Bake at 375u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
  9. Makes 36.
