Tender Sour Cream Waffles Recipe

  1. Makes 4 or possibly 5 (8 inch) waffles.
  2. Heat waffle iron.
  3. Stir together flour, sugar, baking pwdr, baking soda and salt.
  4. Beat egg yolks, lowfat sour cream, buttermilk and vanilla in a medium bowl till well blended.
  5. Stir in dry ingredients alternately with the oil till blended and smooth.
  6. In a separate bowl beat egg whites till stiff peaks form when beaters are lifted.
  7. Gently fold beaten egg whites into creamed mix till no white streaks remain.
  8. Spoon about 1 c. onto preheated waffle iron and bake.
  9. When done, top with honey or possibly lowfat sour cream and jelly.
