Sloppy Joes
- 1 pound Lean Ground Turkey Or Beef
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Onion
- 2 Tablespoons Water
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Dry Mustard
- 3/4 teaspoons Kosher Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons Celery Seed
- 18 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
- 1/2 cups Ketchup
- 3 Tablespoons Honey
- 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 dashes Hot Sauce, More Or Less According To Taste
- 2 Tablespoons Water
- 5 Hamburger Buns
- Cheese, Onion, Pickles, And Lettuce For Toppings (optional)
- In a large skillet over medium high heat brown the meat with the dry onion and the first amount of water.
- When the meat is cooked through add in the chili powder, mustard, salt, pepper, celery seed, garlic powder, and cornstarch.
- Stir the meat until it is coated in all of the spices and let it cook for another minute.
- In a small mixing bowl whisk together the ketchup, honey, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, and the second amount of water.
- Pour the sauce over the ground meat and stir and heat until the meat is coated in the sauce.
- Cook the mixture until it is heated through.
- Serve on buns alone or topped with cheese, onion, pickles, and lettuce.
