Scottish Mince 'n Tatties!

  1. Pre-heat oil in pan on medium-high heat.
  2. Saute onions and carrots for approx 3-4 minutes
  3. Add ground beef, mixing well until beef begins browning.
  4. Drain any fat at this stage leaving a small amount for flavour
  5. Add garlic, peas, pepper and stock cubes.
  6. Pour over enough water just to cover mixture and mix well until stock cubes dissolve.
  7. Set on low heat and simmer for 35-40 min, stirring occasionally
  8. While mince simmers, boil potatoes until cooked through.
  9. Drain and add the cheese, garlic, butter and milk
  10. Mash potatoes until creamy - you may need more butter or milk.
  11. Once mashed, serve with your mince
