Boiled Peanuts

  1. Rinse peanuts well to get any dirt or debris off of them.
  2. In a large bowl, soak your peanuts overnight covered in fresh clean water.
  3. They will try to float to the top.
  4. Use a plate to weigh them down in the water.
  5. The next morning, drain your peanuts and add them into your slow cooker (I have a 6-quart slow cooker.)
  6. Add 4 cups of water and the seasonings.
  7. Cook on high for 5-7 hours, or until peanuts are soft.
  8. Squeeze them out of their soft shells and enjoy!
