Boiled Peanuts
- 2 pounds Green Peanuts In Their Shell
- 4 cups Water
- 2 Tablespoons Kosher Salt
- 3 Tablespoons (Tony Chachere's Or Your Favorite) Creole Seasoning
- Rinse peanuts well to get any dirt or debris off of them.
- In a large bowl, soak your peanuts overnight covered in fresh clean water.
- They will try to float to the top.
- Use a plate to weigh them down in the water.
- The next morning, drain your peanuts and add them into your slow cooker (I have a 6-quart slow cooker.)
- Add 4 cups of water and the seasonings.
- Cook on high for 5-7 hours, or until peanuts are soft.
- Squeeze them out of their soft shells and enjoy!
