Prosciutto Wrapped Figs With Walnuts And Gorgonzola

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Cover a large rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  3. Wrap each fig half with 1 prosciutto strip.
  4. Place on baking sheet.
  5. Broil until prosciutto chars on the edges, about 1 1/2 minutes.
  6. Turn figs over.
  7. Broil about 1 1/2 minutes longer.
  8. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  9. Place 1/2 teaspoon Gorgonzola on top of each fig half.
  10. Top each with a walnut piece.
  11. Serve warm or at room temperature.
  12. *You can use dried figs as a substitute when fresh figs aren't in season.
