Delmonico Number 1

• 1 ounce gin
• 12 ounce brandy (or Cognac)
• 12 ounce dry vermouth
• 12 ounce sweet vermouth
• Angostura bitters (2 dashes)
• orange twists or lemon twist

1. Add the gin, brandy, vermouths, and bitters to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
2. Shake vigorously; strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
3. Garnish with orange or lemon twist.
