Cooked Chokecherry, Pincherry or Wild Cherry Jelly - CERTO Liquid

  1. Place pitted cherries in medium saucepan.
  2. Stir in water.
  3. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally; cover.
  4. Simmer on medium-low heat 15 min., stirring occasionally.
  5. Place prepared cherries in jelly bag; hang and let drip into bowl until dripping stops.
  6. Press bag gently to remove any remaining juices.
  7. Measure exactly 3 cups prepared juice into large saucepan.
  8. Add sugar; mix well.
  9. Bring to full rolling boil on high heat; cook 1 min., stirring constantly.
  10. Remove from heat.
  11. Immediately stir in liquid pectin.
  12. Stir and skim foam for 5 min.
  13. Pour immediately into warm sterilized jars, filling to within 1/4 inch of rims.
  14. Cover with lids.
  15. Let stand at room temperature 24 hours or until set.
