Best Meatloaf Ever
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 5 slices white bread
- 2 lbs ground beef, extra lean
- 12 teaspoon dry mustard
- 14 onion, minced
- 12 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 12 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 slices bacon, trimmed of the fat
- 3 tablespoons condensed tomato soup
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine milk, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce.
- Trim crusts from the bread,add the seasoned milk and soak for 10 minutes , then beat with a fork.
- Mix meat,bread,mustard ,onion and herbs together with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix in the eggs.
- Pack lightly into a loaf pan,top with bacon slices.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove bacon and spread tomato soup on top.
- Bake an additional 15 mins or until the loaf shrinks slightly away from the pan.
