Country Cobbler

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. Mix 1 cup of the sugar, tapioca and cinnamon in large saucepan.
  3. Gradually add water.
  4. Stir in walnuts.
  5. Bring to full boil on medium heat, stirring constantly.
  6. Remove from heat; stir in apples.
  7. Pour into 8-inch square baking dish.
  8. Mix remaining 1/3 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and salt in medium bowl; stir in cheese.
  9. Mix butter and milk.
  10. Add to flour mixture; stir just until moistened.
  11. Spoon over apple mixture.
  12. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. Cool.
  14. Top each serving with 1/4 cup of the ice cream.
