Buttermilk Gingerbread

  1. Heat oven to 350F (180C).
  2. Cream shortening and sugar and add eggs and half of the buttermilk.
  3. If you don't have buttermilk, mix vinegar and milk together and let it sit for 3 minutes, then add half.
  4. Add dry ingredients, remaining milk and molasses.
  5. Put into greased cake pans.
  6. Bake at 350F (180C) for 30 minutes.
