Microwaved Swiss Gruyere Fondue Recipe
- 2 c. shredded Gruyere cheese
- 2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- Dash of garlic pwdr
- 3/4 c. dry white wine
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Vegetable dippers or possibly bread cubes
- Toss together cheeses, flour, mustard, and garlic pwdr.
- In a 1 1/2 qt microwave-safe casserole, micro-cook wine, Worcestershire sauce, and 1/4 c. water, uncovered, on 100% power (high) 1 to 1 1/2 min or possibly till warm.
- Add in cheese mix to warm liquid.
- Micro-cook, uncovered, on 50% power (medium) 7 to 9 min or possibly till cheese is melted, stirring every 2 min.
- Serve with vegetable dippers or possibly bread cubes.
- Reheat as necessary in the casserole on medium 2 to 3 min.
- Makes 8 servings.
