Banana Split Cake
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 large can crushed pineapple
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 c. coconut
- 1 pkg. vanilla pudding
- 5 bananas
- 1 large Cool Whip
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- a few chopped cherries
- Mix cake according to directions, with the exception of using milk instead of water.
- Bake in a 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
- Bring to a boil the pineapple and sugar.
- When cake is done, punch holes in it and pour pineapple mixture over cake.
- Let set long enough to cool.
- Mix pudding according to package directions with the exception of leaving out 1 cup of milk.
- Mix softened cream cheese and pudding with mixer.
- Spread over top of pineapple mixture on cake.
- Slice bananas over cake.
- Sprinkle with coconut, pecans and cherries.
