Breakfast Bread Recipe
- 2 c. lowfat buttermilk
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1 c. white flour
- 1/3 c. raisins
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Mix first five ingredients till smooth.
- In separate bowl, mix flours, wheat germ, and raisins.
- Combine mixtures and mix well.
- Pour into 9x5x3" loaf pan.
- Lower oven temp.
- to 350 and bake for 1 hour.
- Cold and wire rack and store 1 day before slicing.
