BLT Pasta Salad

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the pasta, and cook until almost tender, about 7 to 8 minutes.
  3. Drain, and rinse under cold water to cool.
  4. Meanwhile, heat a skillet over medium-high heat cook the bacon until crispy.
  5. Remove the bacon from the pan and drain on paper toweling.
  6. Discard the bacon fat.
  7. In a large serving bowl; mix together the dressing, onion and tomatoes.
  8. Gently mix in the pasta.
  9. The pasta will absorb excess dressing once refrigerated.
  10. This salad is best made ahead and refrigerated overnight or for at least several hours.
  11. Add the crumbled bacon over top just before serving.
  12. Bottled dressing works but making your own is even better.
