Butter Chicken
- 1 lb. chicken fillets, cubed
- 1 md. onion, sliced
- 4 tbsp. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. fresh ground ginger
- 1 tsp. fresh ground garlic
- 1 tsp. fine salt
- 2 tsp. fine red chilli powder
- 2 tsp. powdered cumin corriander blend
- 1/2 tsp. tumeric powder
- 1 can tomato paste (small)
- 1 oz. butter for sauteing
- 1 cup fresh cream
- Chopped corrainder leaves for garnishing
- Mix buttermilk, ginger, garlic and spices together.
- Add tomato paste.
- Add washed and cubed chicken to marinade; allow to marinate for 30 minutes.
- While chicken is marinating, saute the onions in the butter, on medium heat.
- Add marinated chicken, cook for 15 minutes on medium-low heat.
- Remove from heat, add fresh cream and stir well.
- Return to heat, cook for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped corriander leaves.
- Serve immediately.
