Scarecrow Treats

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Combine cake mix and butter in bowl.
  3. Beat on low speed until well mixed.
  4. Add egg; continue beating until well mixed.
  5. Press onto bottom of ungreased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
  6. Bake 12-15 minutes or until set and edges are lightly browned.
  7. Remove from oven.
  8. Immediately sprinkle marshmallows over hot, partially baked crust.
  9. Return to oven; continue baking 1-2 minutes or until marshmallows puff.
  10. Combine corn syrup, sugar and brown sugar in saucepan.
  11. Cook over medium heat, stirring 2-4 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil.
  12. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter and vanilla until smooth.
  13. Stir in cereal, peanuts and candy corn.
  14. Immediately spoon over marshmallows; spread to cover.
  15. Cool completely.
  16. Cut into bars.
