Ginger Marinated SirloinsGinger is an Often Overlooked Spice.
- 2 cups Burgundy or other dry red wine
- One 10-ounce bottle soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons ground ginger
- 4 garlic cloves, peeled
- Four 3/4-pound loin strip steaks
- Combine the wine, soy sauce, and ginger in a large plastic storage bag.
- Press in the garlic.
- Add the steaks, squeeze out excess air, and seal.
- Marinate for 4 to 6 hours in the refrigerator, turning the steaks at least once.
- Set up a grill or preheat a broiler.
- Remove the steaks from the marinade and grill or broil for about 5 minutes a side for medium doneness.
