Black Peppercorn Syrup Recipe
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon whole black peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon cracked black peppercorns
- Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar has dissolved.
- Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to bring mixture to a simmer; cook for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
- Strain the cooled syrup and refrigerate it in a container with a tightfitting lid.
