The Best Veggie Burger

  2. In a food processor add all the ingredients except beans.
  3. Pulse several times .
  4. Add half of the beans and pulse until almost completely creamy.
  5. 6-8 pulses.
  6. Add rest of the beans and pulse 3 more times.
  7. You want to see some beans.
  8. On a parchment lined tray, scoop half a cup mixture out and spread into a 1/4 " thick patties.
  9. Continue until you have made all the patties.
  10. Leave space in between each patty.
  11. Cover tightly and freeze for 3 hours or until patties are frozen through.
  12. Transfer to an airtight container using wax paper in between each patty to keep from sticking.
  13. To cook, in a skillet with some olive oil, about 1 tablespoon for two patties, heat oil over medium heat.
  14. Place each burger in the oil and cook for 3- 5 minutes per side.
  15. You want to see each side get a dark golden brown.
  16. Serve them nice and hot on a good quality bun.
  17. Add sliced tomatoes, onions, pickles, mayonnaise to top the burger.
  18. These are just my favorite way to enjoy these.

  20. NOTE: To caramelize onions slice onions thinly and add to a frying pan with 1/2 tablespoon oil.
  21. Over a low heat, let onions just cook, stirring every 4 minutes until they become golden to dark golden brown in color.
  22. It takes about 12 minutes on average.
  23. Cook your onions while garlic is roasting to save time.
