Garlic Lover's Pasta With Broccoli

  1. In large pot of boiling salty water, add dried pasta and frozen broccoli.
  2. Cook until pasta is aldente or to your preferred tenderness.
  3. Meanwhile about halfway through the pasta cooking get your garlic ready.
  4. In large, deep pan, heat olive oil over low heat.
  5. Once heated, add red pepper flakes and cook for 3 minutes.
  6. This helps flavor the oil.
  7. Now pull off from heat.
  8. Add your garlic and salt.
  9. Mix well and don't let garlic get color.
  10. It will taste bitter.
  11. If it cooks fast even off heat, add a splash of pasta water.
  12. Add into the oil and garlic your drained pasta.
  13. Stir well incorporating all the flavors.
  14. Serve hot.
  15. I am a purest on this and do not top with grated parmesan cheese but you can if you wish.
