Tater-Tot Hotdish

  2. Preheat oven to 375 F. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat with half of the listed amounts of salt and pepper.
  3. Remove from heat once browned.
  4. Drain grease if necessary.

  6. In a separate saucepan over medium heat, saute the onion in 1 tablespoon of butter until translucent.
  7. Then add minced garlic and saute 1 minute more or until fragrant.
  8. Add the remaining butter and allow it to melt.
  9. Then whisk in the flour and whisk over medium-high heat for 1 minute so that the flour cooks a little.
  10. Whisk in the beef broth and milk.
  11. Continue whisking until it comes to a boil and thickens.

  13. Stir the gravy mixture into the ground beef along with the frozen corn.

  15. Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  16. Add the frozen tater-tots in an even layer and sprinkle with seasoned salt.

  18. Bake at 375 F for approximately 45 minutes or until the tater-tots are crisp
