Everybody's Favourite Spring Rolls
- 200 grams Ground pork
- 1 bag Bean sprouts
- 1 bunch Chinese chives
- 1 Japanese leek
- 3 Shitake mushrooms
- 1 Bamboo shoots (optional)
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp Katakuriko
- 2 tbsp Water
- 1 Spring roll wrappers
- Cut the Chinese chives into 5 cm lengths.
- Shred the Japanese leek.
- Cut the shiitake mushrooms, and bamboo shoots into 5 mm cubes.
- Heat the sesame oil, cook the ground pork through, and season with salt and pepper.
- Add all the vegetables to the meat, flavour with the soy sauce and sake, then stir-fry.
- Thicken the sauce with the katakuriko dissolved in water, and the filling is ready.
- Let it cool for a little while.
- Wrap with spring roll wrappers (please refer to the instructions for wrapping the spring rolls on the package).
- Deep-fry them.
- Since the filling is already cooked through, they are ready when the wrappers turn golden brown.
