Bacon Parmesan Stack Recipe
- 3/4 c. Grated Parmesan cheese
- 3/4 c. Mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 2 c. All-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. Baking pwdr
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 c. Shortening
- 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 lrg Egg
- 4 x Bacon slices
- 1.
- Cook bacon till crisp; crumble and set aside.
- 2.
- Blend Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise and paprika; set aside.
- 3.
- Combine flour with baking pwdr and salt in large mixing bowl.
- Add in shortening and cut in with pastry blender till particles are fine.
- 4.
- Combine lowfat milk and egg; add in all at once to the flour mix.
- Stir till dough clings together.
- 5.
- Knead lightly on floured surface about 10 times.
- Divide dough in half.
- Roll out each half to a 14 x 6-inch rectangle.
- Transfer one rectangle to an ungreased cookie sheet.
- 6.
- Spread with 1/2 c. cheese mix; sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
- Top with second rectangle.
- Cut through to the bottom, into 16 rectangles but don't separate.
- Spread with remaining cheese mix.
- 7.
- Bake in preheated 400-degree oven for 12-15 min till golden.
- Serve while still hot.
