Curried Cashews
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 can (10 oz.) PLANTERS Cashews
- 2 Tbsp. curry powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper (cayenne)
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1/4 cup BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut
- Heat oven to 300 degrees F.
- Bring sugar and water to boil in small saucepan on medium-high heat; simmer on medium heat 4 to 5 min.
- or until sugar is dissolved and thickened to syrup-like consistency.
- Add nuts, seasonings and coconut; cook and stir 2 min.
- or until nuts are well coated.
- (Coated nuts will be saucy.)
- Remove from heat; spread onto baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake 20 min., turning nuts after 10 min.
- Cool completely.
- Serve or store in covered container.
