Spiced Ham and Lentil Soup
- 3 cups water
- 1 12 cups beef broth
- 1 cup lentils
- 1 cup ham, diced
- 12 red onion, chopped
- 2 roasted peppers, diced (or chili peppers)
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 12 cup mushroom, sliced
- 2 whole nutmegs (cracked)
- 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- Mix all ingredients.
- Bring to a boil.
- Lower heat to simmer and let cook for about 2 hours, or until lentils are soft.
