Easy Salsa Chicken Dinner
- 4 each chicken breast halves, boneless, skinless
- 4 teaspoons taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 2 tablespoons sour cream optional
- Set oven at 375F (190C).
- Spray a 9 by 13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with the taco seasoning mix and place the breasts into the baking dish.
- Pour the salsa over top of the chicken breasts.
- Bake for 25 to 35 minutes until the chicken is cooked, tender and juicy with juices running clear when pierced.
- Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the breasts and return the baking dish to the oven for another 5 minutes or until the cheese melts and starts bubbling.
- Serve with a spoonful of sour cream on top.
