Chili Stew Recipe
- 1 c. onion, minced
- 1 clove garlic, sliced
- 2 med. green peppers, diced
- 4 tbsp. warm fat
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 (#2) can kidney beans
- 1/2 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Dash of thyme
- Dash of marjoram
- 1 (#2) can tomatoes
- Cook onion, garlic, and green peppers in fat till soft.
- Push to one side of skillet and add in meat.
- Stir till brown and crumbly.
- Add in tomatoes, beans, and seasonings; simmer for 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Serve warm.
- Good with crackers and vegetable salad.
