Hawaiian Teriyaki Burgers
- 1 cup Soy Sauce
- 23 cups Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 cups Pineapple Juice
- 2 Tablespoons Bourbon
- 1/2 teaspoons Ginger Paste
- 2 cloves Garlic, Mashed Into A Paste
- 1 pound Ground Beef, Seasoned And Formed Into 4 Equal-sized Patties
- 4 slices Muenster Cheese
- 4 Green Leaf Lettuce Leaves
- 4 slices Pineapple
- 8 slices Bacon, Cooked Until Crisp
- 1 Avocado (peeled, Pitted And Sliced)
- 4 Brioche Buns, Lightly Toasted
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
- Add all ingredients for the Hawaiian teriyaki sauce in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Stir frequently until sugar has dissolved.
- Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- Store in an airtight container for 2 weeks.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Spray with a nonstick spray, and add the burgers.
- Cook for about 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- Melt the cheese on the burgers for the last 2 minutes of cooking time.
- Remove from heat and set aside to rest.
- Assemble burgers by layering the burger patties, lettuce, pineapple, bacon and avocado on toasted buns.
- Drizzle with Hawaiian teriyaki sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Enjoy immediately!
