Norwegian Meatcakes With Sauce Recipe

  1. Place grnd beef into a bowl, add in salt, and work in.
  2. It should become sticky.
  3. Add in the potato starch and spices.
  4. Stir well.
  5. Add in lowfat milk 2 Tbsp.
  6. at a time.
  7. (Stir well before adding more lowfat milk!)
  8. Add in the egg.
  9. With a Tbsp.
  10. dipped in cool water, form small "cakes"/"cookies" and fry them in a frying pan with butter.
  11. Remove and place on a plate when cooked.
  12. Sauce:
  13. After you have fried the meatcakes, add in the 2 c. of water to the pan and let it boil.
  14. After a minute, pour it into another pan/kettle.
  15. Add in the bouillon cube and bring to a boil.
  16. Mix the lowfat milk/water and flour (no lumps).
  17. Add in the lowfat milk/flour mix to the boiling water while stirring.
  18. Add in meatcakes to the sauce and let it simmer for 10-15 min.
  19. Salt and pepper to taste.
  20. Serve with boiled potatoes and peas.
