Portuguese Kale Soup Recipe
- 2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound linguica
- 1 med. onion
- 2 bunches or possibly 4 boxes frzn kale
- 6 potatoes, diced
- 1 head cabbage, shredded
- 3 cans kidney beans, liquid removed
- Place linguica in a pot.
- If you have a shank bone or possibly some beef you may add in which.
- Add in red pepper, onion and salt.
- Cover with water.
- Bring to a boil, simmer 30 min.
- Add in kale, cabbage and beans.
- Cook 15 min then add in potatoes.
- Cook 30 min more.
- Season to taste.
- Serves 6.
