String Beans With Thyme and Sage

  1. Heat pan to medium and add butter, olive oil, bacon onions and garlic.
  2. Saute for about 3-4 minutes and then add string beans.
  3. Saute on med high heat for about 3 minutes.
  4. Then add sage, thyme, salt and pepper.
  5. Keep stirring for one minute.
  6. Add some water, about a few spoons and stir another minute.
  7. Then reduce flame to low and cook til done, about 3 minutes.
  8. The cooking time is up to you.
  9. I prefer a bit of bite to my beans, so they are done within 7-8 minutes.
