Creamy Mushroom Peas

  1. Fill a small saucepan with one inch of water.
  2. Bring to a boil, add peas, and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Drain and set aside.
  4. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Add mushrooms and onions, and cook for a few minutes, or until tender.
  6. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms, and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  7. Gradually stir in cream, and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  8. Cook, stirring until smooth and thick.
  9. Stir in peas, and remove from heat.
  10. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
