Belgium waffles w/fresh apple compote

  1. First 5 ingredients are for apple compote.
  2. Remaining ingredients for waffle.
  3. Melt butter in pan
  4. While butter is melting in pan peel, cut and core apples then place in butter
  5. Add Brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla to apples and butter.
  6. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes until apples are tender
  7. Mix together dry ingredients for batter prep.
  8. In a separate bowl mix together wet ingredients
  9. Gently combine wet ingredients into flour mixture.
  10. Spray waffle iron with cooking spray and pour on batter.
  11. Cook until Brown about 2 to 4 minutes each.
  12. Finally put a scoop of apple compote on top of waffle and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  13. If desired serve with whip cream.
