Cake Frosting - White Mountain Frosting

  1. Put sugar, corn syrup and water in a saucepan.
  2. When the mixtures starts to boil, beat egg whites until stiff.
  3. Boil mixture rapidly until it "spins a tail" 6-8 inches long.
  4. After the mixture has spun, pour (while hot) into egg whites slowly.
  5. Beat until frosting peaks.
  6. Add vanilla.
