Tia Luca's Alcatra Portuguese Roast Beef Recipe
- Beef roast, about 6 pound
- 1-2 onions, chopped
- 1-2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 15 whole allspice berries
- 1-2 cinnamon sticks
- 2-3 bay leaves
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Liquid
- "ALCATRA" means rump, but any cut of beef roast will do, preferably with bone.
- I combine one with, one without (for a large group).
- Bone adds flavor.
