Mac and Cheese
- 4 tbsp butter
- tsp salt
- 4 tbsp flour
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp cracked black pepper
- 3 cup grated colby jack, mozzarella, and cheddar jack cheese
- 2 1/2 cup freshly grated cheese (colby jack, mozzarella, cheddar jack)
- 24 oz pasta
- 3/4 cup freshly grated cheese (mozzarella, colby jack, cheddar jack)
- 1 cup mushrooms
- 1 cup sweet italian sausage
- Boil 24 oz of pasta of your choice (i used penne rigate) and drain and set aside.
- Make a roux with 4 tablespoons of butter and 4 tablespoons of flour.
- Slowly add in warm milk and whisk slowly.
- Add a teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of cracked black pepper.
- Slowly stir in cheese and melt into a creamy sauce
- Add pasta and carefully stir everything together.
- Pour into two seperate baking dishes and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- (I sliced some sweet italian sausage and topped one dish with it and sprinkled cheese.
- I also sliced up some white mushrooms and topped the other dish with it and sprinkled cheese as well)
- Toss your mac and cheese (or mushroom & sausage mac) into a 400F oven for 20 minutes until bubbly golden brown!
