Chinese New Year's Chicken Recipe
- 1 fryer, cut into sm. pcs
- Garlic salt to taste
- Cornstarch
- 2 Large eggs, beaten
- Oil
- 1 teaspoon monosodium glutamate
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. chicken stock
- 1/2 c. wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 c. catsup
- Sprinkle chicken with garlic salt; roll in cornstarch.
- Dip in Large eggs.
- Cook in small amount of oil in frying pan till brown; place in shallow casserole.
- Mix monosodium glutamate, sugar, stock, vinegar, salt, soy sauce and catsup; pour over chicken.
- Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 min or possibly till chicken is tender.
