Candied Almonds
- 1 Egg White
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Tablespoon Water
- 1 pound Raw Almonds
- 3/4 cups Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Fleur De Sel (or Regular Salt)
- Preheat the oven to 250 F. Line a large baking sheet or in my case a round pizza pan with parchment paper.
- Using the bowl from your stand mixer add egg white, vanilla extract, and water.
- Using the whisk attachment, mix everything until frothy.
- Add the almonds and stir with a wooden spoon to coat thoroughly.
- Set aside.
- In a separate bowl combine the sugar, cinnamon and salt.
- Stir this into the almond mixture.
- Make sure every almond is coated in sugar.
- Spread the mixture evenly onto your baking sheet.
- Bake for 1 hour.
- Stir the mixture every 15 minutes.
- When done, remove from the oven and allow almonds to cool on the pan.
- Once the almonds are cool you can divide them up into jars and give them away as gifts.
- Or keep them for yourself!
