Grandma Nonis Lasagna

  1. Brown the meat in a Dutch oven or deep kettle.
  2. Mix in seasoned salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
  3. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, and spaghetti sauce mix.
  4. Stir thoroughly and cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. While the sauce is simmering, boil the lasagna noodles according to package directions.
  6. Drain and rinse.
  7. In a 9x13 pan, pour 1/3 of the meat sauce.
  8. Cover with the lasagna noodles, cottage cheese, and mozzarella.
  9. Repeat layers, ending with the meat sauce.
  10. Top with Parmesan cheese.
  11. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  12. To freeze, prepare as for baking.
  13. When ready to cook, thaw and bake.
