Sesame Spinach

  1. Cook spinach according to pkg.
  2. directions; do not overcook.
  3. Combine soy sauce, vinegar and sugar.
  4. Drain spinach and add onion rings; add soy sauce mixture and toss.
  5. Chill for 1 hour, tossing frequently.
  6. Serve in portions as a salad; garnish with toasted sesame seeds just before serving.
  7. Note: To toast sesame seed, gently heat a 2-3 oz.
  8. box sesame seed in small skillet.
  9. Stir frequently until each seed is toasted but not burned.
  10. Press seed using the bottom of a water tumbler to extract oil and enhance flavor.
