Peanut Butter Cake w/ Peanut Butter Cream Frosting
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) peanut butter morsels, melted
- 2 cups (475 ml) all purpose flour
- 1 tsp (5 ml). baking soda
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml). baking powder
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml). salt
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) butter, softened
- 1-1/4 cups (300 ml) sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp (5 ml). vanilla flavoring
- 1-1/2 cups (350 ml) milk
- 1 cup (225 ml) peanut butter morsels, melted
- 1 tsp (5 ml). vanilla flavoring
- 3 cups (700 ml) sifted powdered sugar
- 1 (8oz) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1/8 tsp (1 ml). salt
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) milk
- Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, sit aside.
- Cream butter and sugar, then blend in the melted peanut butter morsels.
- Beat in the eggs and then add the vanilla flavoring, add flour mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix well.
- Pour into 2-8" greased and floured cake pans and bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) for 35 to 40 mins.
- Cool completely and frost with Peanut Butter Cream Frosting.
- Combine the melted peanut butter morsels, with the cream cheese, vanilla flavoring, and salt.
- Beat well, then add the powdered sugar alternating with the milk until the mixture is of spreading consistency.
- Frost the cake.
