Stir-Fried Brussels Sprouts

  1. Earlier in the Day: Trim tough ends from Brussels sprouts; then cut each lengthwise in half.
  2. Place Brussels sprouts in plastic bag and refrigerate.
  3. About 15 Minutes Before Serving: In 12-inch skillet over high heat, in hot salad oil, cook Brussels sprouts, stirring quickly and frequently, until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add salt and 1/2 cup water; heat to boiling.
  5. Reduce heat to medium; cover and cook 5 minutes longer or until Brussels sprouts are tender-crisp, stirring occasionally.
