Red Cabbage With Apples

  1. Saute chopped onion in oil until golden, Add cabbage, wine, half of the apple chunks, bay leaves, salt and pepper.
  2. Cook, covered, over low heat for 1 1/2 hours.
  3. Add remaining apples, cook for 15 to 20 minutes more, check seasoning and serve.
