Indoor Smores

  1. Measure cereal into a large bowl.
  2. Butter a 13 x 9 x 2-inch rectangular pan.
  3. Melt marshmallows, corn syrup, margarine and chocolate chips in a 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Stir in vanilla.
  6. Pour over cereal in a large bowl.
  7. Mix quickly until completely coated with chocolate.
  8. Stir in 1 cup marshmallows.
  9. Make squares by pressing mixture evenly in buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with buttered back of spoon.
  10. Let stand at least 1 hour or refrigerate if a firmer bar is desired.
  11. Cut into squares.
  12. Makes 24 squares.
